The Story

Recorded in London in August 1973, Genesis fifth studio album "Selling England By The Pound", was released in October that year on Charisma Records. It reached No. 3 in the UK and No. 70 in the US. The single, ‘I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)’, was released in February 1974 and became the band's first top 30 hit in the UK. Despite having only come off their previous, Foxtrot tour a couple of months before, following the release of the new record, Genesis set out on the road again in September ’73, starting off in Europe, but crossing to North America in early November, where they drew an enthusiastic reception from fans.

Generally considered one of the finest shows of the entire Selling England…. tour, the concert they performed at New York’s Felt Forum on November 22nd 1973, remains a favourite amongst fans.
